Takashi Murakami collaborated with Major League Baseball in partnership with Complex and Fanatics for a capsule collection commemorating the MLB Tokyo Series.

The merchandise for both iconic franchises playing in the series — the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs — includes clear totes, jerseys, hats, hoodies, caps, bats, keychains and more with Murakami’s whimsical flower motifs. The Dodgers designs feature cherry blossoms while the Cubs designs utilize the artist's happy flowers. Murakami even created slides for each team from his Ohana Hatake brand.

The collection celebrates Japan’s love affair with America’s pastime. Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani and Cubs All-Star pitcher Shota Imanaga are examples of how the two countries unite through their passion for baseball.

The pieces were available at the Complex store on Fairfax in Los Angeles this past weekend. It was a moment for baseball fans and streetwear enthusiasts to soak in Murakami's art and reflect on the significance of the street, which lost a staple when The Hundreds flagship store closed last month.

For those who weren't able to make it to the pop-up, a few pieces of the collection are still available on the Complex website. There will also be pop-ups in Tokyo leading up to the series, which will be played March 18 and 19 at the Tokyo Dome.
