Listen: Kendrick Bourne teamed up with Miles Minnick for 49ers Anthem "Red and Gold Timin'" ahead of playoffs

Kendrick Bourne is ready for the NFL playoffs.

Ahead of the San Francisco 49ers wild card matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, the receiver released an anthem for his team. He linked up with one of the brightest stars in the rap game, Miles Minnick, to declare their love for the 49ers faithful on "Red and Gold Timin'." Bourne and the Bay Area rapper bonded over their dedication to the Niners and their belief in God.

The song is signature Bay Area with a thumping bass and even some whistles. Minnick delivers the catchy hook, "Y'all know what time it is" and references Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey in his verse with a little diss to the other professional sports teams (Las Vegas Raiders, soon-to-be Las Vegas Athletics) who ditched the area.

"I gotta do it for The Bay/Parking lot at Levi's doing Figure 8s/Why they move out the state? We gone hold it down from the gate," he raps.

Bourne holds his own by spitting "Yeah, I'm faithful to The Bay like I'm faithful to the Lord/Runnin up them digits, yeah y'all know we gonna score." He then directs his words to his fans, "4-9 faithful, y'all the best fans in sport/Everywhere we go, y'all travel, y'all support/Every stadium, y'all take over, y'all the best" before stuntin a bit with "Red and gold we bleed, we the team of the West/When we hit that end zone, you know we gonna flex/On the journey to that sixth ring, you know we on that quest."

The wideout and Portland native has been making music since he was a kid when he would play the drums in church. On top of his day job, he now makes rap music with a specific mission.

"Music is kinda that emotional roller coaster," Bourne said in a feature when he was on the New England Patriots. "If I speak on the mic a certain way or have a certain melody that can touch somebody, that's powerful, bro. So I just wanna be in that kinda realm. I wanna be powerful. I wanna help people."

In the regular season this year, he had 37 catches for 551 yards and impressed with his game day fits, mostly sharp suits tailored by Pharoah.

Minnick, who hails from San Francisco, has bridged Christian hip-hop with the mainstream via his authenticity and charisma. He made waves in 2023 with his viral song "Christlike." His album last year, "Via Dolorosa," had features from Bay Area legends and current stars including Keak Da Sneak, G-Eazy, E-40, Mistah F.A.B. and Kamaiyah.

Bourne is also open about his spiritual beliefs. He often thanks God in his Instagram posts and even has his own clothing brand, Bourne Blessed, where he expresses his sense of style and faith.

The 49ers have played Minnick's music during home games. The rapper attended the regular season finale against the Seattle Seahawks and posted a video of himself dancing to "The Method," his hit single with Lecrae and E-40.

We will see if San Francisco's method of football can boost them past the defending champions.
