NFL Week 2 Drip Check: Denzel Ward gives rockstar energy, DeVonta Smith glows in orange

The NFL is off to a racing start.

After a thrilling Week 1, the second slate of games featured even more drama.

The first overtime game of the season happened and the Dallas Cowboys defeated the New York Giants by a field goal.

The Denver Broncos were heartbroken when the Indianapolis Colts got a second chance at a game-winning field goal due to a penalty. And they nailed it.

Off the field, the fashion statements were split into two categories. Several players were clinging to summer and impressed in shorts — and the shorts varied from well-tailored dress shorts to baggy denim. Then we had players who were ready to embrace fall in sweaters, trousers and a corduroy suit!

Here's the NFL Week 2 Drip Check:

Jaquan Brisker

Jaquan Brisker led the Chicago Bears with nine tackles on Sunday and also carried the torch with the summer looks. He was fresh in this denim floral shirt and shorts set from Louis Vuitton. Stylist Infamis Missy balanced it out well with white socks and Air Force 1 sneakers.

DeVonta Smith

Before DeVonta Smith helped boost the Philadelphia Eagles to a win in a rematch of the Super Bowl, you could not miss him in this bright orange suit by Brian Alexander Bespoke. The shorts are the perfect length and the matching buttons on the clean white shirt are impeccable.

DJ Ivey

DJ Ivey might not have seen much time on the field, but the Cincinnati Bengals cornerback was easy to spot in the tunnel in this white jacket and these cool shorts. They’re by JACQUEMUS and they fact they’re off white makes them a great choice for fall. Real men wear polka-dots.

Patriots Twins: Kyle Williams and DeMario Douglas

Kyle Williams and DeMario Douglas were twinning in these jean shorts and graphic T-shirts. Williams was wearing all Vale with Louis Vuitton sneakers and a scarf tied over a Chrome Hearts cap. Douglas kept it simple with some shorts from Floor 914 and Jordan Vs.

And they had some extended family they maybe weren’t expecting!

Khalil Dorsey

Fellow Babushka Boi Khalil Dorsey joined in on the fun for his return from a broken leg that he suffered last season. The Detroit Lions defensive back expressed pure joy in a graphic T, shorts from Adoring Angels that say "Jesus Saves" and his own Louis Vuitton scarf.

Denzel Ward

That leads us into our fall fits.

There's not a lot of positives for the Cleveland Browns so far this season as they are 0-2 with a total of 33 points. But their fashion game is bright. Denzel Ward looked sleek in this jacket from 424 with a cool striped pattern. The all black gives rockstar energy.

Kenny Moore II

The Indianapolis Colts won in an emotional roller coaster of a game, but Kenny Moore II looked straight up cool beforehand. The cornerback wore a gray heather crewneck sweater from Paly. He paired it with brown wide-leg trousers and topped off the look with a burgundy Celine hat.

Micah Parsons

Micah Parsons is on a new team and his style game is as strong as ever with the Green Bay Packers. The linebacker was too cozy in this corduroy suit by Soto & Co. While the weather at Lambeau Field wasn't freezing quite yet, topping off the look with a white beanie tells Mother Nature to bring it on.

Brandon Jones

Brandon Jones is tied for the second most tackles on the Denver Broncos through two weeks and he is leading the team's fashion game too. The safety was sharp in this outfit by Chad Johnson of Duane & Johnson. The tweed jacket is cropped nicely and the pants are a good length to show off white sneakers by Alexander McQueen.

Jerry Jeudy

Another bright light in the lowly Cleveland Browns is Jerry Jeudy who leads the team with 117 receiving yards so far, and in his style game. He was sporty in this navy and white tracksuit from Nike and Patta. He kept it cool with a baseball cap and added some pizzazz with an orange duffel.

Josh Newton

Josh Newton is in his second NFL season and is coming into his own sense of style. The Cincinnati Bengals cornerback impressed in this smart outfit. He’s wearing a gray plaid blazer with green trousers. The buttons on the jacket match the pants. That’s sophistication.
