The stars went all out for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. The Kansas City Chiefs were attempting to make history by becoming the first team to win a three-peat title. The Philadelphia Eagles were looking for revenge from Super Bowl LVII and came out on top 40-22 to give Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley their first championships.
To help us break down the looks, Kick The Concrete spoke with designer Chad Johnson of Duane & Johnson about the two players he dressed for the big game.
"It’s definitely an honor. It’s always fun when I’m dressing somebody for the Super Bowl," Johnson told Kick The Concrete. "It’s great to be a part of it no matter who it is or where it might be. And regardless, I’m a firm believer in making sure it’s up to the same par standard as I try to hold myself up to at all times, whether it’s the Super Bowl, a speaking event, or just an everyday type of garment that what we create. I’m a firm believer in just treating and giving everybody the same standard no matter what it is. But also, it definitely puts up a little bit of a, up the ante a little bit."
Hollywood Brown
To start us off, Hollywood Brown was fierce. Stylist London Wilmot put him in a stellar all black leather look featuring pieces from Enfants Riches Déprimés and Celine. The AMIRI x Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO sneakers added nice contrast.
Isaiah Rodgers
Isaiah Rodgers channeled New Orleans in a suit by Tom Marchitelli of Gentleman’s Playbook. The bright blue and green pattern was wavy and exuded the Big Easy. And it’s silk!
Charles Omenihu
For Johnson's first look on the Super Bowl LIX Drip Check, Charles Omenihu’s outfit was next level. The double-breasted vest and pants were bedazzled with rhinestones for just the right amount of glitz. The Chiefs defensive end co-designed it with Johnson as a spin-off of his Comeback look, which featured a cropped blazer and hand-embroidered silver embellishments.
Johnson explained that Omenihu views himself as a rockstar, so he dresses accordingly. The two started planning the outfit before the playoffs started so that nothing was rushed. The hope was that Kansas City would make it to the Super Bowl, and even if they didn't, Omenihu would have something fly for another occasion.
"He definitely wanted to have something that stood out," Johnson said. "... We kinda wanted to go with a different upscale rockstar look, something a little bit like a ‘70s type of vibe with it as well, too. Something a little different ‘cause we know a lot of guys tend to wear suits and whatnot. So why not do something different, have a little fun with it and bring his character out with it as well, too? Which I think is what really sets Charles apart is he really brings his character out from it."

Chukwuebuka Godrick
Moving right along, Chukwuebuka Godrick was too cool in a white jacket and pants set with red accents. It’s designed by (A)lex(Z)ander and styled by Haylo to give a nod to his Nigerian heritage.
Fred Johnson
The other player Johnson dressed was Fred Johnson and they showed how to shine in a more subdued outfit. The monochromatic look is made entirely from a wool/silk blend. It's super clean and the color is rich.
The Miami-based artist said he gets a lot of his inspiration from celebrity stylist Elly Karamoh and the 1995 mafia movie Casino. Those references help him elevate more classic looks and he revealed what his idea for the flair of the Eagles offensive lineman's suit was.
"If they want a clean look, my little stamp is trying to see if I can find something that’s not normal to an extent," he said. "... At the end of the day, it’s all about presence for me and still bringing out their personalities as well, too. But like Fred, Fred is a great personality. If you can get to talk to him, I think you’ll love him genuinely. Great dude, great character. But for something even with him, I feel like my little, I guess you can call my little two cents was making the whole piece as a full monochromatic look rather than just like a regular white shirt or something like that."

DeAndre Hopkins
To finish off the Super Bowl LIX Drip Check, DeAndre Hopkins not only looked fly, but his outfit is sentimental too. His father passed away when he was just a kid and left him this luxurious mink coat for a very special occasion. You might say your first Super Bowl appearance counts.
